In preparation in getting the balance of my deposit for my recent house purchase in 4 months time I sold off 25,000 A2 shares this morning. Signed up for the ANZ trader platform today but it wont be active for another 2 days or so. Was told how to log into that platform by help desk so not sure how it will differ from the current basic platform I am using now.

Its the first time since I purchased A2m shares from its AUS listing that I have placed a sell order on part of my holding. Long term I think the shares will do very well but my concern is that I have no control of where the share price will be short term, or long term for that matter, and I dont want to be a forced seller when the balance of my purchase is due. By that time the SP price might be well north of its current level in a few months.

Conversely with Jayne's First inaugural  announcement as A2's CEO in 3 weeks time the share price might sail north of $10 if the market likes what she has to say about its future prospects and future sales projections.  Even though there is no hurry I will in time need to sell off another $1m or so for the build over the next 20 months but would probably sleep better knowing that I have cash set aside during the build than not knowing were the SP could be during my progress payment during the build.

Thanks for your knowledge of charting along the way, its sad to part with the shares when you believe they still have a long way to run but at some stage you have to cash in some of those paper profits and enjoy the spoils of holding all this time. I have no doubt the market is being manipulated after watching lots of little trades pushing the price down only to see it quickly shoot back up after some sizable blocks were bought at the time of my sells. Not concerned as my average is under $2 but its a hard call to make when the clock is ticking and you only have a set window of opportunity to cash in a portion of your holdings.
