in reply to your question re a2m advising the market if actual results are going to differ to forecast the Corporations Act s 677 and ASX Listing Rule 3.1 apply.
They both basically say there has to be a "material variance" that would influence an investor to buy or not to buy the security.
i dont think "material variance" has actually been defined and I dont know of any case law in this area.
Certainly in this covid 19 environment I dont think companies would be held accountable at law for missing guidance up or down. Many companies probably have withdrawn guidance. Think MQG has.
So hang on to your hat anything could happen.
