Our private superfund plunged in to A2M for the first time last friday at $8.71, so my partner and I are tickled pink with the share price rise.
Why we did buy in to A2M? Well apart from being a great company, the clincher for us was having a new CEO on board. Many years ago a switched on CEO told me when you are newly appointed, it is advisable to let all the skeletons out of the cupboard early on, regardless of the impact on share price. Once done, work your butt off and turn the company around. You will inevitably be credited for the share price turnaround.
It is no different to a newly elected Prime Minister replacing an opposition party. Invariably once elected, they announce how the budget is in a far worse state than previously stated by the former government. The Labor and Liberal parties both do it.
I am banking on all the A2M skeletons having now been let out of the cupboard. Time will tell...
