1) Facts? Have you spoken to corporate Daigou ? Do you know any Chinese mother ? Can you read Chinese? Have you been to the Chinese Taobao website and check the sales ? Have you compared A2’s sale vs other non-premium brands online ? Do you know A2 hasn’t even reached many tier3 and tier 4 cities. Do you know in tier tier 3-4 cities gdp/ capita is hovering around USD $6k-7k/ capita and lots of people haven’t heard of A2 in these cities? Do you know the GDP per capita of China is set to increase from $10k to $20k in the next a few years ? Cities the size of Auckland and Perth is considered 3-4 tier in China. Have you heard a term “ Spending upgrade” ?
2) Competition is always there . The IF incident was way back in 2008. The domestic brands have already recovered in recent years. A2’s withstood the competition and is gaining ground in China at the expense of other brands. Do you know the EU just cancelled trade deal with China and European IF is the main competitor to A2 in the premium IF market? Do you know NZ has a free trade pact with China and in general NZ ‘S friendly image has been well received in China? The same thing just cannot be said to Aus , US and now EU products.
3) How do you know they’re not working on it ? Have you read the recent appoint of a Chinese exec to work on the Chinnese market ? Have you checked her background and know what sales strategy she will bring in?
Please do not come up with this sort of random and generalised statements without some solid research and evidence and clear understanding of what’s going on. You’re free to air your viewpoints. But hey some viewpoints score zero points.
