People blame manipulation.

Just remember share prices are determined at the margin. The marginal buyer vs the marginal seller. And its the marginal seller that actually dictates the trend.

Therefore its been a case of more and more sellers realizing either through fundamental analysis, or through trend 'price discovery' that they have been hoodwinked.

Now its no longer a case of return on capital, the focus is evolving into a return of capital. Those that come to this realization earlier have protected most of their capital by offloading. Those that have taken an ostrich approach and stuck their head in the sand 'I am not going to listen, i don't want to see', have seen the constant erosion of their capital.

And as some of the more experienced traders on this forum have pointed out, we haven't even seen the final capitulation, its still death by a thousand cuts. If we get that final capitulation on top of death by a thousand cuts, it will really by a massively capital destroying period.
