You are right! I did some research for a EU organization about 5 years ago! India is the worlds largest milk producer and the biggest consumer market! The milk is produ!ced by 50 % buffaloes, 3 % goats and 47 % dairy cows, from which about 90 % are Bos indicus and the rest is Bos taurus! It’s interesting that 80 % of the people in India are lactose-intolerant according to Food Intolerance Network! There is a lot of negative sentiment agains the import of dairy semen regarding the ß-Casein status
