Personally I have no issue with the idea of dividends rather than buybacks etc.
However there was the suggestion above that the SP would be higher if the company had issued dividends rather than a buyback. That's the part I don't get? Just not sure why it would be likely to make any difference, after taxes etc. I've mostly held growth stocks in the past.
