i think we should have a voice - a referendum style voice at the board. i am thinking of contacting the Australian Shareholders Association and discussing with them as to how to best represent the interests of retail shareholders as i am not happy about the response that i am getting from the investor relations department.
i am sure DB is thinking that he is doing the right things as he has a reputation to protect as a turnaround CEO but the value is just not being created for the shareholders and learning about new products every six months somewhere deep in the presentation, on LinkedIn from another company or off the cuff remarks to the SMH journalist not good enough.
whilst he battles the declining birth rate, gives new products time, fights for removal of exclusivity with SM1 etc the one thing that he can control is a buy back - buy back all the shares at $3.95 etc and keep buying them with that lump of cash. this is not at all unconventional. companies do this. why cant a2m do the same?it can and it should.
3bn market cap - do $150m pa for 5 years - thats 25% of the current market cap. puts a floor under the SP, keeps the bots and manipulators at bay and rewards shareholders.
