The birth numbers were down, but substantially less so than analysts had been predicting, and also less that A2M's own estimates. One might reasonably expect A2 will now update their own estimates and the outlook may not be as pessimistic as it was previously.
Marriage rates were also on the rebound so that is a positive too. Births are traditionally higher in the year of the dragon as "dragon babies" are associated with fortune and success in Chinese culture.
