Your Assuming that Dunsandel is still profitable for Synlait or making enough profit to keep Synlait as a going concern after asset sales/capital raise, especially in light of the current dispute.
That asset also only has a limited life value if A2m apply for their own SAMR registration and move the production or part of production, effecting future value.
These factors have been taken on in impairment and we have no way of knowing what the dispute really covers.
The simple fact is that there is a supply uncertainty, many assume that A2m will end up with Dunsandel, maybe they will, but at what price(who knows what other companies see value in the plant and its suppliers) and if in any way that plant is shut down for a run off process to occurr under receivership what do you think the A2m share price sits at with all that supply uncertainty or no supply.
Yes speculation but if one is not considering the scenario one is not doing a full risk assessment.
