There is no point looking at the NZX other than to check company announcements which appear there first.
NZX is usually still playing catch up with the ASX from the day before, then the ASX opens and the NZX follows. NZX is not really an indicator of anything.
Nor are the buy and sell walls, layering, or any of these things that occur on literally every other stock. They are not unique to A2M and won't make a lick of difference to where the SP ends up at the end of the day or week.
Regarding significant holders, it is a bit odd I agree. I've seen in the past that there can be a very long lag in reporting though. And in the case of short positions being closed, these would not register because they are just shared being returned to the instos who borrowed them out. But there may also have just been a significant amount of retail buying.
