Diversification has been a goal on both sides of the relationship.
It sounded like SM1 attributed at least some of their recent upgrade to 'new business development in the Advanced nutrition' area. It's not clear to me that is a reference to A2M and I think it's unlikely to be. The only slight possibility is its a reference to A2 Platinum for USA (scaled up production of which would possibly represent a 'new business development'). It would positively impact Synlait through manufacturing orders before it impacted A2M.
But I think both A2M and I think SM1 will benefit from the favorable IF market conditions in general, and strong demand for milk powder and nutritionals. A2M in particular has exposure to the latter through MVM, as the previous update showed.
There could be positive A2M/SM1 news in relation to that additional China label slot though. They will need to start the process for utlising that slot at some point.
