As I see it, a lot of the principles of TA are programmed into the robots. Given that the speed of modern computers and the fact that a most big robot traders collocate their servers with the ASX's there's no way a day trader can beat them and anyone going long has to think beyond the obvious.
It's the obvious feeding robots that's causing the maniacal swings over the low Christmas trading volumes-here and the US.
