The world has always been dubious about the veracity of Chinese manufacturing data, gdp & other growth statistics in the “stellar” growth phase. Can we be cynically doubtful about them when they are less than what the western world would hope to see as global growth stalls? One could even see “dodgy numbers” as a ploy by China to counteract the tariff threats from US. Just a thought.
