As people start to cash in their profits has anyone thought of how its going to change things between friends and family. When you grow up with people in the same socioeconomic status how do hide your new found wealth when you decide to sell down some of it and start enjoying it.

Although we never mentioned how many A2 shares we have a family member has taken a figure we gave when they asked why we manage our own super and how much we save by having a SMSF and reversed engineered the sums and roughly calculated how much our portfolio is worth. She was gobsmacked that we have not worked for going on a decade and both of us never had a job paying over $100k PA that we have amassed a 8 figure nest egg, Luckily she underestimated  it by a few million but she sees it like we have won a big tax free first division lotto win.

What friends and family could never understand we worked our asses off to accumulate what we started with and we took all the risk in investing nearly all our cash saved over decades and all our combined super. If it went pear shaped like BAL or BLK we would not of had a second chance to try our luck again. We took all the risk and would of lost our relatively comfortable existence we had prior to going all in.

Unlike others we never had multiple inheritances, hand outs, or jobs that paid in the six figures. We enjoyed our lives but did not squander our money on multiple overseas holidays in year, luxury new Euro cars every few years and flashy clothes and lifestyles. Their excuse is life is to be lived in the here and now and we will worry about the financial stuff down the track. Call me a tight wad but I took offense that they mentioned maybe we should buy their daughter her first car (new) since we have what we have.

We only recently sold some to fund our new house build, we took all the risk and no one else co risked their money but think because its so big its ok we sell down and cop the tax burden and future capital gain for their benefit. Most knew we were into stocks and they all knew about A2M and ignored our advice when we recommended to them when it was under $1.50 because shares are risky. Well you are right, shares are risky as for every one in lifetime stock like A2m there are multiple dogs that showed just as good prospects as A2m initially. We risked it all for us and our kids future and if you were given the same chance but wanted to spend your money instead of putting some away to invest dont come crying and think because you are family you are going to get a free ride.

I would love to hear comments from other big stakeholders in A2m with sizable gains especially from LTH @Bron an @Chianti.about how they intend deal with the issue when your new found wealth cant be hidden anymore.
