Not quite, Shorts were starting to drop but have gone up by tiny amount.
Even if all the volume since 1 Nov (14.3M) was counted as shorts covering, it would still leave 38 M uncovered.
I believe that A2 will MISS consensus(or not meet analyst's expectations), purely because there is A LOT of shorts that would be in deep sh*t if it does meet consensus and those shorts are held by the same companies that determine the consensus.
I also believe that consensus will be altered to a figure higher than the result within millisecs of the result being known so that the result will not meet consensus.
I also hope that the result blows away the consensus and makes the shorts scramble to cover and fail miserably.
