Old business get shut down, new business taken over is business as usual. The problem is media does not tell you how to make a fortune like facebook, amazon, google, alibaba, tencent, etc. They just tell you old business get shut down. The current index boom is made with etf buying, there is no big risk from that at the moment from my limited understanding. I assumed the leverage level is not high with those funds.
