But one State Premier (Qld) already won an election in part because she kept the borders closed, and another (WA) faces an election in March 2021 so is giving 'advice' to the best run state, NSW under Gladys B, despite the WA economy suffering from a lack of interstate tourists.
I agree State border closures are disastrous and will cost more in lost job, underemployed others, business failures and eventually, suicides but try telling that to five of the six State Premiers!
WEB should be taking heaps of bookings but through no fault of its own will now have a downturn in demand. Aside from the outrageous cost of travel and especially accommodation in Oz, who in their right mind would travel domestically when upon a whim various State Premiers just shut borders and trap travellers?
