it all sounds good, but how does waving at a fintech conference full of IT gurus and applied finance majors, benefit zip.

I would much prefer to have had a world leading marketing team; one brand, and a tonne of cash to throw at celebrities and influencers, while in the other hand, world beating retailer exclusives and major revenue verticals who can help promote

it was only 6 months ago zip started to go crazy on their marketing spend. About 4 years too late. All those cap raises instead went on funding random acquisitions.

instead zip went it alone, with no global exclusives, minimal
spend on marketing, a huge spend in M&A (which they then had to rebrand), and a slow to market inferior marketing plan.

the inorganic (acquired) growth was nice, but came at enormous costs, but the organic growth was incredibly underwhelming
