Hey, I don't know how long you have been in this game but for me it has been lessons learned, experience and lots of it. I have been doing this for 40 years and had some dam hard lessons. The second last point is one you might want to think about.
This is what Buffett says:
Management must have Integrity and Talent.
Only invest in facts not emotion know where the company is heading.
buy only wonderful businesses not Cigar butts, by that he said buy a wonderful business at a fair price not a fair business at a wonderful price.
Only buy stocks you understand, you don't have to know everything about a product, but you need to know how saleable that product/s is or are? in 10 to 20 years into the future, he calls that his circle of confidence.
When you see a great opportunity take it, buy big
Don't sell unless the business fundamentals have changed
Buy in at a price where the intrinsic value can be calculated looking at future profits. When you know this, buy below the intrinsic value.
