I don't want too much lag, though. I like to follow 'double cross' signals and want to see the MACD (moving average convergence divergence) crossover few days after the Stochastic to confirm/validate, so upcoming days are will important. If the MACD hits a 'trough' after trading today, I think that's enough of a signal to buy even before MACD crossover because it's a signal for a potential crossover approaching.
