The only value I can see in it really is if a country took it on as their currency. Yet I don't know why they'd bother?
As far as I can tell, it's only actual use in the long run could be to put an end to inflation. However why would countries do that? It limits their ability to react to disaster events like Covid.
Imagine how much worss Covid would have been if we couldn't print money. The future was better off with helping everyone out of work, rather than letting them all starve.
I don't think crypto will ever be just a hedge against inflation though like gold is. It needs a country behind it to add value, like how USD has the US.
