My apologies I should have said major support zone, it is a minor and somewhat flimsy support zone as there had not been any period of consolidation, to offer the support.
You often find that these unconsolidated support areas are broken at the third or fourth time of asking hence the formation of the head and shoulders pattern.
When it breaks a lot of traders who bought on the basis of it being a strong support level are caught offside and the downside momentum accelerates.
if we have a major sell off in the NASDAQ it simply will not hold so cannot be classed as a major support zone
