    In case you didn't fully get it Jarrod, gaps are where the price opens considerably higher (or lower) than the previous day's close, creating a gap in the chart. A large percentage of the time (90% in my limited experience) the price will eventually return to close the gap, which means returning to that prior close. That's called closing the gap and it can take days, weeks, months, and years even. I won't go into the reasons why it happens (Internet search will give some detail), but you just need to know that it does and that some people look for and trade it. It's also normally a good sign, as it can bounce off the gap and change direction.
