Challenger Listed Investments Limited as responsible entity for Challenger Wine Trust (ASX:CWT), requests a halt to trading in CWT securities with immediate effect.
CWT does not have any information to disclose at this time but has observed an increase in the volume and price of CWT units.
CWT is involved in confidential discussions with third parties, which remain confidential and incomplete.
In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, CWT provides the following information:
The trading halt is requested pending an announcement to the market in connection with the outcome of the confidential discussions in relation to strategic alternatives for the fund;
CWT requests that the trading halt remains in place until the earlier of commencement of trading on Thursday 4 November 2010 and when CWT makes an announcement; and
CWT is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
