cheers Mo, erichmj, looks a no-brainer indeed. One comment on the the news any minute thing...MHM has chased the news since I've been involved - ie the SP has been well behind the valuations you would have expected at each company update. Been easy investing really as rather than wait for the unknown to reveal itself to see a win, you just see the win...buy and then wait for the SP to rise. Might be an industrial stock thing I guess but either way I like it. The SSc deal (does anyone here really think this is just a wildcard feas-ability study going nowhere?-lol) combined with the Geelong plant is worth $3, and I'll just wait till then thanks. Alcoa worldwide partner announcement ? - add another $3 min - not announced yet but hinted at so loudly I've got a ring in my ears

Not knocking the short term trading stuff, up-ramp the next announcement so you can sell, downramp the time to next announcement (4 weeks is forever lol) or the directors golf handicap (geothermal..really)- so you can short -go for your life!:-)

all fiddling at the edges while the company and long-termers move through this time in the markets cycle.

honestly...shorting during a downtrend is fine I guess? don't agree with it myself as the concept of borrowing someones car to tell everyone it's hopeless and sell it at a loss only to buy it back cheaper and hand it back to the owner unscratched but devalued?....modern world:-0

but shorting and bragging about it in such an obvious rising chart set-up = running at the wall - flat out with ice-cream lid for a helmet.

Just cover and quietly pocket whatever thin slice of the cheese you ended up with.Will even volunteer a cracker :-)
