The company's chart looks good but it was a real classic of a Friday 13th for news about Euroland. It may prove to be difficult to make headway until Germany is willing to allow the European Central Bank to be a full-blooded lender of last resort. All 27 EU member states must agree to that because it requires a change to the Treaty.
Then there must be a targeted spending to stimulate growth - but it would be a waste of time until confidence is restored.
So, smiles for the likely progress of the operations in Texas but major concerns for the market reaction on Monday to the blundering by the Euroland leaders. Sarkozy has 100 days left before he has to face his electorate and, by all accounts, they are far from happy.
