TA = Technical Analysis.
FA = Fundamental Analysis.
FA tries to determine what a reasonable value for a company would be, based upon cash flow, revenues, profits, dividends, and other such matters.
TA tries to determine how the share price will move on any given day, based upon historical trading data.
Any resemblance that either bears to reality should be considered a fortuitous coincidence. :)
