If it was only leaky ships we'd be in the Mongolian navy. Geometrics drive charts. Geometrics give off signals. The chartist needs to be able to interpret these signals. Base numbers make up geometrics so any mistakes are the chartists failure to read the numbers correctly, not the chart being wrong. It's an impossibility for the chart to be wrong.
