With only 1 week to go till the Christmas /New Year break there aren't too many stocks that aren't trading with reduced volumes . Many institutions will also influence the end of year price for the sake of their reports as well . Coupled with this the fact that most companies try and delay positive announcements until things return to normality in mid January . Consequently at this time of the year charts are very much more unreliable. Gut feeling and intricate knowledge of your stock is probably a better indicator.
