You r correct trader. However words are coined by each person in their own context. I doubt jackarooz was referring to a trader in that context. I used to call myself a trader even when i used FA as my intention was to sell on profit not hold LT. The ato has a different definition - purely in terms of turnover. In reality, most trade by either using TA or just purely on FA and value. Some will sell on whatever profit, whether it be ST or LT, and hold when in the red. Theoretically they are traders due to their intent. However in share trading, trader implies TA. I know many who use both fa and ta. The instos are an example. They purchase Or sell using ta but invest on fa. Others will be tilting either way. A bit like politics - centrist in contrast to far right and left. Lets settle this once and for all - you r referring to technical traders trader wheras jackarooz is referring to value based traders (much like those in the physical markets).
