Well of course it is all a bit of a joke really when it comes to gold and currency.
There are no longer stock markets, just currency markets that determine major movements.
Among that have to filter down to what is real for the likes of NST.  And with charts like the above, well some bigger traders love to play to them knowing many look and are directed by them.

I can well see some wanting to short NST to cause a cascade to buy back into maybe....however the game is played.  Or exuberance of a market 'recovery' may bring money back in, though it didn't today when the rest of the market went up around the place.

Market dumps and recoveries not too much to do with anything except the interplay of currencies...in case some were celebrating a global market recovery or the like.
