I think if you are coming off 5years of hurt and pain, seeing your investment in a company constantly in the red...its demoralising, painful, stressful and it does not seem as if things are going to get better. Taking proactive steps to protect and secure your capital should not be ridiculed, it should be applauded. You got out with your capital intact and you still have skin in the game. I know a number of traders on here have secured their capital in the same way, by diligently trading in this stock to reduce their exposure, protect their capital, while holding a free carry position. I've done it and will continue to build my free carry position...and I do it because I love the future outlook for this stock, but I want to do it from a position of low risk. Stocks don't go up in straight lines, eventually, they retrace, test supports, to confirm their move...just imo...
