He was very lucky that when he took charge, the concentrate price improve from circa $400 /450 to $700/750 a tonne that enable him to turn the company from brink of bankruptcy to a viable business. Iggy would have done the same if not the mishap at Jiangsu plant and depressed concentrate price.
He really need to pull this SDV deal thru and restore the SP to min $4.0 per share to justify his status as top notch operator.
Apart from a few excellent surprise upside deals, his performance on delivery is average, communication is a big F, and he seem too slow on execution.
Depending how quickly the tide is turning for the lithium sector - it could be a masterstroke by the management or lost opportunity.
Having said that, simply based on massive demand for lithium in coming years, I still believe a lucrative SDV deal will eventuate in coming weeks
