You can't get to future without going through present. Then next week and week after and so on.
Charts are the road to the future, and you have to travell on them. Whether you like it or not!
Personally I prefer to know the road and use it's advantages.
You prefer being dragged blindfolded and complain that you aren't on the smooth plane ride to the future.
It makes no difference to me, your choice.
