Uhhh go listen to it again.. You must have forgotten his statements. He clearly stated Livent cannot keep up with demand for hydroxide currently, and the order's they;re recieving are ridiculously large comparative to there capacity... He clearly stated brine operations cannot be upgraded quickly and to a capacity that will supply the future demand, due serious water issues = confirmation of research that has been floating around by the CEO of Livent himself. He also stated this problem will exist until new technology for extraction exists. How could you of not heard any of these quite clearly stated thing's in the podcast if you've listened to it??
Your memory must be failing you or you've listened to a podcast that wasn't at his house with him drinking cocktails spilling the beans, because that's clearly what he did in this podcast.
The industry has shut down production to increase spod prices via drying up supply chain, to get rid the overburden. Producers arnt going to work for NOTHING and why would they continue to flood the market whilst wasting valuable ore???. Think of it like a strike.. Your perspective is way off the mark.My opinion. DYOR.
