Have a think about what the OP was trying to understand before trying to “correct me”.
He was trying to understand how exactly all these shorts will need to cover, and what sort of conditions are placed on their borrowed shares, with regards to the timing or triggers for their return.
“Contact your broker” didn’t help and it still doesn’t help.
Comprehension fail.
Even if he does contact his broker, and they do offer GXY shares for shorting, and they tell him that THEY place a strict 30-day timeline on their return, it doesn’t address his underlying query does it.
