What would be extremely handy to know is whether you borrow the share for a period enabling multiple transactions to occur using the same share ie short / cover / short / cover / short / cover ..... or whether the borrower only gets to execute a single short / single cover transaction.
Beyond my pay grade but multiple transactions of the same share (shorting and covering) would help to explain the seemingly never ending stock available for the purpose. Very hard for non-shorters to get a complete and thorough understanding of the game rules I think Clive.
