Updated Shorter chart with latest T+4 data from shortman.
Aggregate short sales UP slightly = 18.45% @ Feb 4th, 75,532,169 units.
Note that the short data lags the sp data by 3 data points in this chart (sp data shown up until Fri 7th).

The abnormal correlation of short level and sp since early Jan continues!?!?

Very interesting to see that the shorts ROSE with the RISING sp....same again for the 5th I guess!? Or were they covering on the 5th..? If they weren't covering on the 5th, imagine what happens when they do, amongst a flurry of other buying activity....
We'll need to wait til tomorrow to see what happened on that next large sp gain day!
