Obviously confidence in the current market has been knocked, was bowled over even before COVID19 hit the markets .
It’s an ugly mess of over supply blessed with yet another pandemic from the Chinese masses. if you believe the Chinese and many other commentators, it looks likely they have a year of spod sitting around, and are currently at half of usual production.
All this money printing will have come round like an angry bee to sting a few in the butt.
This is the current economic cycle and is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. And ASB was correct, by default in many areas, but you must give credit where credit is due.
Lithium has been pummelled a little like iron ore experienced not so long ago. It rose from the ashes to give share holders significant growth and return.
Like you I read all I can and try and be rational with what I digest. The point being we are in a shit hole at the moment.
I have no doubt we will evolve into a more transparent and unified sector in years to come, this sector needs to communicate better and grab the bloody Bulls nuts and steer it in the right direction.
It’s shameful as we can all see the potential, and it will happen. The lithium story is still unfolding itself and looks likely to set itself into the history books. We are just at that awkward stage of transition, big funds don’t like big transitions, they prefer to continue their ways. Sector transitions to them are a major cost in communication and the ensuing transactions with all their investors.
I see hope in the growth of the green and renewable funds, there are 10s of billions already invested. I also take faith in the nearly 400 billion committed by Automakers and the battery sector, look at the battery investments heading forth in Europe, they are onto it. Look at Tesla’s inroads in China, Germany next.
Its any ugly picture at the moment but I’ll feel the rightly confused brush holder has only just started on this picture, the best work has not even been thought of yet as this story continues to evolve.
So yes, I’m still very bullish on lithium, we just got a couple more years to go.
Best wishes to all.
