The only possible non sinister reason is a certain offtake deal thats dependant on funding or more certainty around FID. I doubt it as thats something the company should announce, but then again management has a habit of lack of disclosure. PLL never got their funding before an offtake.
Anyhow its done deal just gotta swallow the pill and deal with the after effects positive or negative. Retail always gets the shaft.
