Actually - That is right. Now I can see it clearly. I rejected the other line because the option I finished with went to the later point. I just did it automatically without thinking. I always try to link with the most recent points (that are usable) as you noted, and prefer true turning points rather than mid points, which is also why I accepted the slight clipping of the neighbouring price point and didn't go further back to a point at 9:50 to get a non-clipping line.
