R66 asks: "where the (GXY) share price would be by this time next year?"

Everyone here on HC already knows you're a newbie R66 simply because you've asked that question. The answer to it, is this, "How long is a piece of string..???" In other simpler words, nobody can tell you 'definitively' the answer to what you're asking. Your own 'guess' is as good, and as valid, as anyone else's.

The other thing I'd mention to you as a newbie R66, is don't forget about the TAX MAN and his unswerving interest in any CG that you might make on your GXY holding. Visit the ATO's website and get yourself clued up in advance about CGT and how it works and how to best work your investments to your own advantage instead of the Tax Office's.
