They didn't just hit bottom they slammed into it. This is what happens when one uses the wrong scale size while charting. A year or so old but...very valid. They were stunned to say the least. What blew me away was in today's world with all the hand-held electronics not one other crew member was following the boats' course. The navigator of course has never been asked aboard again. What's a few million dollars on the reef ? And to think the race team had hopes to repair the boat and continue on around the world in the race. LOL and lucky no one got hurt.
