I'm glad you said unpredictable as nothing we say is an effort of prediction. TA to me is based on studying how a stock trades both with price action and volume and then being able to base your decisions on what a stock is most likely to do. On price action alone it really only works in the absence of any fundamental drivers and the only ones of those to give much credence to is audited HY and FY reports. In between these times, it's over to the charts for mine. Based on solid empirical evidence of the study of other stocks over a long period of time.
