Over the last few days it has become clear to even the dimmest shorters that pretty much all the exciter-bunnies have sold out of GXY and there's only traders and long stayers left - because they were trading pretty much with each other. The long stayers are ideologically committed and won't sell and we traders have been using the shorters to make money and they suddenly realised they were about to lose their pom-poms, as the insto's who lent them the shares in the first place have been trading against them so they blinked and panicked and are running for the sewers. Not the smartest group the GXY shorters. At least that's my take on it.
