Argentina gov. Made an announcement they will place an export tax until 2020 of 7.9%. The peso has fallen 50% to USd this year. So its 8% of 50c us. That means any one with export will pay an additional 4c for every usd. (4% big deal)This is posted on agy thread.
It makes little difference to gxy holders. If anything it would be good, the labor costs as well as local contruction material would fall. The low peso encourage foreign investments. Argentina has been here before, the inflation was used as a tool to create wealth. They increase the money supply than increase the value of the peso.
Selling more shares by shorting doesn't increase the share pool. If I borrowed 10mil units and sold from $3 to $2.50. I would then have to buy back 10mil units thats not there. The exercise is pointless.
Meanwhile gxy continues to make profit and develop SDV. The chances of no jv out of 40 parties is quite remote. The earnings for Q2 will be 3×15kt +3×21kt+15kt late payment. A 35%increase + posco.
Other than some people complaining about the sp, the company continue to get bigger.
The lithium demand will not decrease because the autos are already out of supply. Those that don't have supply and stick to ICE will dissappear. LCE outside of china is $14k-$16k/t.
Still unsure, remember VW placed $60bil. for battery order. 60times the value of gxy.
