    Thanks for posting the link. It looks as if Water NSW may have learned from this mistake and that Fluence has been a part of their forward planning from as far back as 2014 (through Nirosoft and RWL Water). Hunter Water (a SOC delivering 188 ML of water per day to the 600 000 residents) recently (Nov 27, 2017) announced they are in the process of obtaining planning approvals for a temporary desalination plant at Belmont (just South of Newcastle, NSW (my home town).

    As part of the NSW Water Directorate, the Lower Hunter Water Plan identified small-scale, temporary desalination units as the preferred contingency measure to supplement water supplies during drought.

    Identified in the information sheets is a reference site for portable modular desal units in Limassol, Cyprus - which happens to be RWL's. The project delivers 20 megalitres of drinking water/day and was built in under 6 months:

    Hunter Water will commence community consultation in early 2018. Happy to see a SOE in Australia with Fluence on the radar.
