"He said that he believed Fluence's greatest mistake thus far has been that management marketed the company to the financial community too soon. What he meant by this was that; institutional investors would have reviewed FLC in droves after receiving one of the many company investor presentations, watching them present at the numerous water conferences the company visited, or sitting in on an investor non-deal roadshow presentation conducted by FLC. But, he said that all these sophisticated and institutional investors would (and in fact have) come to the same conclusion - FLC won't reach cash-flow and profitability break-even until Q1CY19 (as stated by management themselves). As such, all such investors have not felt the pressure to enter FLC in the immediate short-term, as the fundamental financial constructs that will underpin a material re-rate won't materialise for another year."

It seems that the vast majority of institutions are no different to traders in general in that they will always be greater attracted to momentum plays, that's human nature and of course the market is currently flooded with momentum plays especially in the lithium/cobalt, junior mining, infant formula , medical cannabis and tech sectors so certainly flc has been put on the back burner by investors and traders in general.

Fluence will one day become a momentum play but just because we are not atm, people have come to the conclusion that something is wrong with the company, leading many to show little interest...

Upon evidence that flc can actually deliver in a meaningful way things will turn and traders and investors will be back in droves.... it just hasn't been flcs time yet. However as Johan stated there are some serious catalysts out there this year that could really correct this downtrend...

We are all just early to the party...
