Thanks for the response, however a sell order at 0.81 would have put them right on top of the sell queue this morning...and it's not like there was a shortage of buyers available at 0.81 with 120k shares on order as well as at least another 50k wanted at higher prices. So the risk of the order not getting filled was low. Further it would have taken a pretty large seller to have jumped ahead of the piddly 5000 shares that was put up for sale at 0.775 this morning.
I think the bid at 0.775 was unrealistically low and still doesn't really make much sense to me. Don't forget the buyers on top of the queue are also trying to get the jump....so assuming the buyers have placed limit orders why would they not get their shares at the 0.775.
I only ever see these stupid bids in the opening and closing auctions....however I am easily confused
